PROJECT THREE | OUR HOUSE.

The design intention for this project is to create a social space that finds solution to the social issue of loneliness.

Project ‘Our House’ is all about creating a safe, welcoming, and inviting space for young adults. A space where people can come together and create new relationships and experiences with one another. The design aspects of this space will include soft architectural curves, pastel colours, the display of art and a space where there are different allocated zones. For example, to achieve this design intention the space will incorporate a cosy screening room, fully functioning kitchen, coffee stations, digital innovation station, chill zone, and an art gallery to display and acknowledge the talents of the community.

‘Our House’ is all about pushing the stigma of loneliness to the side and focusing on ways that as a community we can come together and enjoy life with others.

PROJECT FOUR | PIXEL HOTEL .

The Mail Room is inspired by the originating historical build-ing - the former Tallebudgera Post office. The space draws from the unique aspects of pervious materials and historic moments. This space focuses on the natural earth elements. Drawing the material and colour palette of natural wood, greenery, and natural textures.

The open plan allows for the guests to flow freely amongst the space. Being that this spaces is not overly large it is important to incorporate maximum flow. Guests will be able to enjoy the space with ease and comfort, with modern appliances and technology.

The concrete flooring provides the industrial feel and allows to bring in the natural textures throughout the space. The wooden flooring for the bedroom creates its own separated space, however still has the open flow whilst still having a sense of privacy and comfort.
